This 90 minute session involves a comprehensive discussion of your history, current concerns, and presenting symptoms. Following the session, you will be asked to complete a range of evidence-based assessment questionnaires online over the following couple of weeks. Some of these measures require access through external assessment platforms and may incur a small additional fee. This will be discussed with you prior to completion.
Session fee: $330 + GST
In this session, your psychologist will review the results of the assessment measures and discuss the findings with you, including whether they are consistent with a diagnosis of ADHD. Prior to the appointment, your psychologist will spend time reviewing and summarising your assessment results. The session will also include discussion of any symptoms or conditions that may overlap with, or commonly co-occur alongside, ADHD.
Session fee: $440 + GST
Following the subsequent session, we will discuss and agree on the appropriate type of report based on your needs. A range of report options is available, from a brief summary report designed to help you better understand your assessment results ($220 + GST), through to a comprehensive and detailed report that can be provided to a psychiatrist to support diagnostic clarification and treatment planning ($660 + GST).
You will be provided with a draft version of the report to review before payment is due. Once payment has been received, the report will be finalised and provided to you and/or GP/Psychiatrist etc.
A referral is not required to undertake the above sessions or assessment, and you are welcome to self-refer. Please note that Medicare rebates are not available for this service. Appointments can be booked directly through our online booking system.
Following the assessment process, you may wish to book follow-up sessions to address any areas identified during the assessment. This may include support with ADHD management strategies or assistance with other concerns that may have emerged, such as anxiety, mood difficulties, or trauma-related issues.
If appropriate, you may be eligible to obtain a referral from your GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, which would allow you to access Medicare rebates for these sessions.
Standard session cost is $220 (no GST) and a Medicare rebate of $98.95 applies.
Stephanie accepts Mental Health Treatment Plans from GPs for psychological counselling. Session fee from 1 January 2025 is $220 for a 50 minute session. Medicare will then rebate $98.95 for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year, leaving an out of pocket cost of $121.05.
Stephanie accepts referrals under NSW Workers Compensation and takes a particular interest in treating PTSD within the first responders / emergency services community.
We welcome DVA clients to access our counselling services. With a valid GP referral, DVA Gold and White card holders can benefit from clinically necessary treatment provided by our psychologist, including options for telehealth. 10 sessions per referral is available.
You may self-refer for counselling services, and sometimes, rebates can be offered via Private Health Insurance if your coverage applies. This type of referral option is often utilised for those who have exhausted their Medicare rebates or general wellness coaching, and it can also include telehealth sessions. You may self-refer for ADHD assessments as this is not a Medicare funded service.
Do you work in a helping role? Our community of helpers often need their own support and guidance. Stephanie is pleased to accept referrals from workplaces for counselling services, including psychologist support and telehealth options, to provide the necessary counselling or supervision services.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy for processing traumatic memories and reducing emotional distress, often used for PTSD, anxiety, and phobias. Intensive delivery can be offered with multiple sessions in quick succession.
